| Have fun and help others - teach English or make play equipment for kids |
English teaching in schools, at Home & Life orphanage and among adults is an ongoing project - and you will be very welcome to help for as long as you like. The work was started by the Tsunami Volunteer Center and continues now with Volunteer Teacher in Thailand - a new organisation run by the TVC Head of English, career teacher Ken Hyde. Your volunteer job will mean helping (with guidance, if you need it) to prepare lessons and taking part in the classroom teaching. It's all on the website! |
Making playground equipment for Burmese and Thai children - an enjoyable and very worthwhile experience with Fun4Kids ... you don't need any special skills. Fun4Kids accepts volunteers for as little as one day or as long as you want to stay. Fun4Kids also helps out with other community projects - the Burmese community needed a mushroom shed to start a business, so Fun4Kids built it for them. It is also working on projects at two local orphanages.

Home & Life orphanage takes volunteers sometimes or, if you work on English teaching you will make regular calls there to help the children learn. Information from Niroot Maneejak or see the website at www.homelifethailand.net |
