Sandy Cove, Khao Lak
A walk on the wild side through part of Lam Ru national park rain forest
to a small, secluded cove favoured by Thais
How to get here? See directions and photographs below

You need transport to get here - it is not far but it is too far to walk from Khao Lak. Get a bus, songthaew or taxi ... or, if you have a car or motorcycle, drive south of Khao Lak on the main road for about seven minutes. There is a small parking area (see picture left) and a signpost to the beach. This is national park land and in high season it is manned and visitors are charged 100 bahts each for entry. You are unlikely to get a taxi back unless you pre-arrange it, though buses and sawnthaews operate on that route fairly frequently
